Carnival is the time of the year when every child - of all ages! - externalize one's own experience with the disguise ... or with the multiplicity of colors that permeate this recurrence as protagonists.

Think of the confetti, for example, used for the first time without success in Trieste at the end of the 19th century to replace sugared almonds or missing rose petals, and then became inevitable. Arlecchino, perhaps the best-known Lombard character linked to Carnival, testifies with his suit this virtuous somewhat ingenious variety, and his suit is in fact symbolic in this sense to indicate a wide range of colors.

In our tradition, this festival is associated with taste with certain places that have elevated it to "celebrity": think of the very courtly carnival of masks in Venice, or the famous floats of Viareggio and the tasty battle of the oranges of the Carnival of Ivrea, one of the funniest events in Italy, in Piedmont.

It is curious to note that this pagan holiday born to joke and disregard social distances then found itself as the main character of the popular vulgate the well-known "masks" that we use today for other reasons and that at the time evoked different scenarios, first of all the need to hide your face to make yourself unrecognizable after having performed the "pranks".

ORIGAMI STEEL is the brand that works metal to exploit its sensitive characteristics and make it malleable, flexible, suitable for creative forms. A flexibility that is also conceptually linked to the joyful Carnival itself. Decorative and functional objects for furniture are the result of its design. However, it is not limited to this, on the contrary it plays a lot - through painting - in giving color to the images we see, to visually structure the accessories for the interiors and for the exteriors, creating trends and color combinations that refer to this fixed date of late winter-time.

White between Pulcinella And Fantasy Tree

There are also traditional Carnival masks with more "targeted" colors that do not follow a monochromatic logic. The white of the Neapolitan Pulcinella, for example. Furnishing items painted in this way are always a minimalist and distinct choice: Fantasy Tree, both in the small and big version, is available in white for those who want to find a continuity of color with the wall, or break the continuity outdoors, in the green. We are talking about a piece of furniture valid for interiors as well as for exteriors that depicts a tree through a partly baroque and rounded process, with a strong attention to the details of branches and leaves.

Fuchsia, A Symbol for Venice

Fuchsia is one of the most used colors for parades in the Venetian Carnival. The Serenissima is filled with this color in the carnival period and this is also because it is a very structured and traditional event, which incorporates fine costumes and period colors. Steel Tree, both in the big and smaller version, is available in fuchsia color for a strong chromatic impact on the inside.

Black and Red as Pantalone

The Venetian Pantalone is another great figure of the Carnival, a grumpy and greedy merchant who creates comic sketches, wearing red tights and a black cloak.

Think of the approach of two typical ORIGAMI STEEL products through these colors, which can also be proposed as furniture in a single room: the black of the analog clock Can't Wait and Steel Tree, mentioned above, also available in red painted metal, to create a decisive chromatic contrast with a youthful, flamboyant character.
