We and the Music

(by Eleonora Terenzi)

Music makes the conscience dance (Enzo Cormann)

Notes upon notes, low and high, the timbre of a voice, the instrumental background, a solo... music that warms the soul, involves from the depths, generates strong and never banal emotions, leads to vivid memories, unleashes creative synaesthesis... Our production history, 55 years long, the experience gained in applying innovative technologies to different production sectors, the desire to make, engrave and leave a mark, a "large microgroove" ... These are our whys, the reasons that led us to the desire to produce Music. The Whys of the Timeless Record

“Where words fail... music speaks.” (Ludwig van Beethoven)

Micro-details that allow the listener to perceive the acoustics of the recording room, small noises from the audience that induce the sensation of being there while listening, minimal background hiss but also the not infrequent mistracking (i.e. the distortion caused by the stylus that cannot read the microgroove correctly)... the sound recorded on the disc is therefore the best sound vibration, it is the instrument that takes us to another dimension. For all these reasons, "Vinyl" has remained timeless until today despite the advent of other supports.

Vinyl, History and "Backfire": TOWARDS A NEW COURSE?

(by Luigi Luca Borrelli)

The first Vinyl record was released on the day of 1948, which inaugurated the beginning of summer; an auspicious innovation for the coming season, understood not only in the strict sense, judging by the impact that the support for listening to music in the second half of the twentieth century would have. It was conceived in the United States and we can see it as the initiator of a Post- War period that opened a course of history. Vinyl replaced the shellac 78 rpm, becausesuch material began to be scarce during theconflict. The technical name of the new-born vinyl, put on the market by COLUMBIA RECORDS, is Long Playing or even Long Play and the abbreviation will eventually make the definition known as LP. It is RCA, a few months after COLUMBIA, to launch its alternative, the 45 which made its debut on January 10,1949 and was certainly a Vinyl that competed against 33 rpm in a competitive way. The advantages were the size and weight - much more agile - but the 45 had a duration capacity close to that of the 78, therefore significantly lower than the Vinyl proposed the year before. The 78-rpm allowed to record, with both sides, 6-7 minutes. Too little especially for classical music and jazz; whereas the first Vinyl, with its 33 laps, allowed 45-50 minutes, thus allowing a single medium - at most two - to contain an entire work or an album.

GREENYL Traces to Success

(by Valentina Dago)

We will start from the increasingly popular idea that Chance does not exist at all. On the contrary, if you look for the reason of what happens in a pure succession of events, you probably run the risk of slipping towards a brutal and narrow-minded vision of existence. And it almost never is. Whatever happens is perhaps the best that can happen to us. Chance? It is difficult to say that it does not exist, but somehow I was convincing myself that much of what seems to happen "by chance", we are the ones who make it happen; it is we who, once we change the glasses with which we look at the world, see what previously escaped us and for this reason we believed it did not exist. In short, we are the chance.

(Tiziano Terzani)

The extraordinary events that present to us, the unlikely and out of the ordinary ones, undoubtedly have a different origin. Surely you have thought about it too, believing that it was an incredible coincidence. Jung, a student of Freud, defines it as synchronicity of events, and it occurs when the human being, perfectly in contact with the surrounding environment, develops the ability to exert a force that attracts certain circumstances with a symbolic value. Thought reigns in the mind, however, with already formulated answers that we are able to interpret in the external world. That particular connection is visible only to us; other people will find their explanations elsewhere. If you want to know how a series of "wonderful events" have changed the course of things, if you want to read about rediscovered friendship, music, a great project that has come straight to the heart, continue to the next lines...
